Invite your own babysitter to Charly Cares

Do you have a great and trusted babysitter outside of Charly Cares who you would like to add to the Charly Cares Babysitting App? In just a few steps, you can easily register this babysitter with our babysitting service. That way you can still use our service, even if we are not yet active in your area.

Step 1: Invite your babysitter

In the app, go to ‘Profile’ > ‘Invite own babysitter’ and share your personal link via text message, WhatsApp, or email. Your babysitter can sign up using this link. Note: the babysitter does not yet have to register or schedule an interview.

Step 2: Share the code with your babysitter

Share the personal code with your babysitter. The babysitter needs to enter the code when registering or can enter the code manually in the app under ‘Profile’ > ‘Connect to family’. Note: the babysitter will only be available to your family and can therefore only be booked by you.

Step 3: Discuss the hourly rate

Before making a booking, make sure that the hourly rate is set correctly. If necessary, take the Angel fee* into account. The babysitter can adjust the hourly rate in the app under settings.

* 3% of the earnings of the babysitter will be withheld (Angel fee). With this amount we ensure that all our babysitters can use our Babysitting App for free and that a Support Team is always there for them.

What are the costs of a babysitting service?

Angels are able to choose their own hourly rate, so it can be different per Angel. The hourly rate varies between approximately €7 and €15 per hour.

Depending on your subscription, you are also charged a booking fee for each babysitting service:

  • Basic: €7,50 per booking
  • Flexible: €3 per booking
  • Premium: no booking fee

How do employees pay the babysitter for business use?

During the babysitting service, a babysitting timer will run in the app. The timer starts automatically at the scheduled start time of the booking and needs to be manually stopped by the parent at the end of the babysitting service.

I am trying to create a booking, but it keeps getting stuck on 'almost sent'. What is happening?

Before you can make a booking, you need to have an active membership and link a payment method. After you have done so, you will be able to complete the booking.

  1. In the screen with 'Almost sent', click next.
  2. Select the type of membership that best suits you.
  3. Select a payment method, which we then ask you to verify through a payment of €0,02.
  4. Your membership has been confirmed and the booking will be sent.

My employer is paying. Why do I still need a membership?

At Charly Cares, every parent needs a membership in order to be able to book. The first month of the flexible membership is free; after the initial month, the monthly costs are always charged to the parent. Contact your employer to check if they offer an internal arrangement for the membership. Both the babysitter and the booking fee are paid using the credit from your employer.

If you do not want to continue paying after the trial month, you can always cancel your membership. If you do not cancel your membership in time, the costs of the flexible membership will be charged automatically.
