Babysitting via Charly Cares: connecting with a babysitting family

Hi! You have probably been asked by your babysitting family to babysit through Charly Cares. Fun! On this page, you will find all the information you need to connect to this family. Read through the steps carefully and let's get started.

How to connect to a babysitting family

Step 1 - Download the Babysitting App

Download our Babysitting App in the App Store or Google Play Store. Important: all you need to do is download the app, you do not yet have to sign up.

Step 2 - You will receive a link and a code

  • You will receive a link from your babysitting family. When you click it, you will be able to register in our app.
  • You will also receive a code from the parent. Once you enter it, you will be connected to your babysitting family and you will gain access to our app.

Step 3 - Start babysitting!

Starting now, you will appear in the list of your babysitting family’s favourite babysitters. They can now ask you to babysit via the app. You will be visible only to this specific family.

Tip: prior to making a booking (so: before a parent asks you to start babysitting), ensure that your hourly rate is correct. Discuss your hourly rate with your babysitting family before the booking. You can always change it under ‘Profile’ and then ‘Settings’. Want a higher rate than is currently possible in the app? Contact our Support Team via Whatsapp, they will be able to help you out.

Note: Charly Cares withholds 3% of your babysitting earnings. This allows us to offer our app to babysitters for free and provide support whenever you need us. Keep this in mind when setting your rate.

I get an error message after signing up.

Are you unable to register using the link you received from the parent? Ask the parent for his/her personal code. On the page ‘Invite own babysitter’, your family will find a unique code they can share with the babysitter.

  • Don’t have a Charly Cares babysitter profile yet? Sign up in our Babysitting App and enter the code given to you by the parent when registering. You can find several buttons labeled ‘Connect’ during the registration process. Click one and enter the code.
  • Already a Charly Cares Babysitting Angel? Enter the code under ‘Profile’ > ‘Connect with family’.

I cannot connect my bank account, what should I do?

Make sure to check whether your bank account number has been entered correctly. Write the bank account number with only capital letters and make sure it does not contain spaces or other characters.

My rate is incorrect, where can I change it?

Make sure your hourly rate is correct prior to making a booking (so: before a parent asks you to babysit). Discuss your hourly rate with your babysitting family in advance. You can always change it under ‘Profile’ and then ‘Settings’. Want a higher rate than is currently possible in the app? Contact our Support Team via Whatsapp, they will be able to help you out.

How can I babysit for other families too, in addition to my fixed family?

Are you 16 years or older and do you live in one of our service areas? Then we can offer you the possibility of babysitting for different families. However, we do first want to meet you for an interview. Contact our Support Team to schedule it by sending a WhatsApp message to +31202102323. .
