The Babysitter Angel-network

Charly Cares (Business) gives you access to our exclusive network of babysitting Angels. Do you already have a Charly Cares account? Great! It is easy to expand your membership to a business account. Don’t have a Charly Cares account yet but you do have a great babysitter in private? Then simply add your own babysitter to our platform. You pay your babysitter via your business account. This way you have the convenience and not the full costs, because these are simply deductible.

The benefits of a business babysitter

  • Always an exclusive network of babysitting Angels available

  • Both the membership and the babysitter can be paid for as a business

  • Flexibility at its best: our Angels are there for you (last-minute)

What are the costs?

The costs of a business babysitter for a self-employed person through Charly Cares are:

Monthly business membership fee: €19.99 (excl. BTW)

Booking fee: €7.50 per booking

Besides that, you'll pay the hourly rate of the Angel (varying between €8 and €15 per hour).

Good to know: Charly Cares Business as a business expense

The rules differ for individuals in employment (including a DGA, a director-majority shareholder employed by their holding company) and for self-employed individuals (ZZP'ers).

A self-employed individual does not receive a salary but rather profits from their business.

The Work-Related Expenses Scheme (WKR) is a component of the salary; a self-employed individual does not have a free space in the WKR.

Childcare is a private matter and cannot be considered a business expense by a self-employed individual.

There are self-employed entrepreneurs who deduct childcare costs as business expenses from their profits. This is entirely at their own expense and risk. During an audit, this may be noticed as a personal expense and thus be classified and potentially subject to a fine.

How does the WKR work?

The amount you can spend tax-free is the free space. The free space is determined anew each year. In 2024, the free space for taxable earnings up to €400,000 is 1.92%. For earnings above €400,000, the free space in 2024 is 1.18%. If the amount you spend tax-free exceeds the free space limit, you must pay 80% tax on the portion that exceeds the limit.

How does it work?

1. Choose the desired number of babysitting hours per calendar year

These can then be divided as desire. If you work 10 hours one week and 20 the next week, you use the hours as needed.

2. Start your business membership in your personal Charly Cares account

Via your account you have a clear overview of how many hours you still have available for the relevant month. You will also find an overview of your invoices here.

3. Receive a clear invoice every month

At the end of the month you will receive your invoice. You can use this for the business-deductible expenses.

Frequently asked questions about Charly Cares Business

How do I book a Babysitting Angel?

Easy peasy! In our app, go to 'Discover' > 'Book an Angel'. Enter the dates and times for which you need a babysitter. You will then be able to either select 10 Angels yourself, or post your request on Jobboard.

Selecting 10 Angels yourself? Write a personal message and send the request, then wait for the Angels to respond. If one of them accepts, your request is successful.

If you choose Jobboard, write a personal message and post your request to Jobboard. All Angels near you will be able to see your request and respond. In the end, you decide who ends up babysitting.

How do I pay the Angel?

The payment through the app works as follows: when the Angel is at your home, a timer will automatically start, and upon their departure, you stop the timer. Then, you check the times for accuracy and choose whether to pay the Angel privately or through your business (if your employer reimburses for babysitting expenses). If you are paying personally, you can, after consulting with the visiting Angel, choose a payment method:

  1. iDeal: Arrange the payment through your bank app. The Angel will be paid within a day.
  2. Cash or via Tikkie: Arrange the payment directly with the Angel.
  3. Via direct debit: You don't need to do anything else; Charly Cares will debit the amount from your account within 2 working days and pay the Angel after 4 working days.

Note! For a Pet Care booking, a fixed rate applies to that booking. The timer will automatically stop, and you don't need to take any further action. The same applies to a Senior Care booking; the timer will be automatically stopped. Both Pet and Senior Care payments are processed through direct debit.
