Meet our Angel Marloes, vacation nanny

“While babysitting, you can just turn off you brain for a bit and have fun doing arts and crafts with the children, or going outside together! I really enjoy that, especially because children are so enthusiastic and extremely honest. I really enjoy working with children, it's a nice distraction for me in between all the studying.”

Frequently asked questions about nannying during the break

Do I need babysitting experience in order to become an Angel?

Yes, in order to become a Babysitting Angel, it’s important that you have sufficient babysitting experience. Charly Cares requires at least 2 references from families where you have previously babysat. These references must come from outside your family and be written by parents of children you have actually babysat for. If a reference is unreliable or comes from someone without children, your profile will be immediately rejected and you will not be able to start with Charly Cares.

We request references to ensure that our Angels have the right experience and sense of responsibility to care for children. The references should be reliable and provide a good overview of your babysitting experience.

The contact details of your references are not shared publicly. Only the written review will be displayed on your profile, so parents on the app can see how other families have experienced you as a babysitter.

What will my interview at Charly Cares look like?

During the interview, we would like to briefly get to know you and what type of babysitter you are, and, of course, your babysitting experience. You schedule a one-hour time slot during which we will call you. We expect you to be available during this hour. If you don't answer, we'll assume you're not interested and you won't be able to complete your application.Did you miss the call, but would still like to babysit through Charly Cares? Send us a Whatsapp.

Does it matter how often I am available?

You decide when you work and how many days you're available. Since you’re in control of your schedule, it’s important to keep your calendar up to date. This way, you won’t receive booking requests for times you’re not available. Planning a vacation or have exams coming up? You can also block your calendar for a longer period or temporarily deactivate your account.
