Cancelling a booking? Do’s & don'ts An appointment is an appointment

Do you have a booking on the schedule and want to cancel it? Unfortunate! In this blog, we provide guidelines for canceling the babysitting service. Read this carefully!

When can you cancel a booking?

It is only acceptable to cancel a booking in very exceptional circumstances, such as in case of an emergency. After all, you have made an appointment with the parent to come babysit, and they are counting on your arrival.

Consequences of canceling

If you frequently cancel bookings or do it at the last minute, we will get in touch with you. In such cases, we may remove you from our platform because reliability is of the utmost importance to us.

If you don't show up...

We take it very seriously if you don't show up for a booking. This is absolutely not the intention. If this happens, we will contact you by phone as soon as possible. Note: depending on the situation, we may terminate the collaboration and remove you from our platform. So, make sure this doesn't happen.

Parents are not allowed to cancel either

It is, of course, not pleasant when parents cancel a babysitting service. If a parent cancels last minute, they must even pay you a portion since you depend on your earnings. If a parent cancels within 3 hours in advance, you get paid for 2 hours. If a parent cancels within 24 hours in advance, you get paid for 1 hour. By being strict on both sides, we aim to minimize cancellations (and disappointments).

"Of course, we understand that there may be times when you need to cancel a booking. In the case of a last-minute cancellation, we will always contact you to hear your side of the story. However, if cancellations occur more regularly or without a valid reason, we need to take strict action. Parents rely on you when you accept a booking."
