Where is Charly Cares available?

Charly Cares has an active babysitting network in 9 cities and their surrounding areas. Find an extensive overview of these cities and the places in the surrounding areas where Charly Cares is active below.

Do you not live in any of the cities listed below? You will still be able to use Charly Cares by adding your own babysitter to our platform.

I live on the outskirts of a city, will I still be able to find a babysitter?

If you live on the edges of our active postcode area, you may not be able to find a babysitter. Our advice: post your request to Jobboard. Angels within a radius of 20 km will then be able to see the request. Make your request more attractive by, for example, mentioning in the description that you are willing to pick up and drop off the babysitter, or pay an extra hour to compensate for the longer travel time. This increases the chances of your booking succeeding.

If you live outside of the area where we are active, you will not be able to find a babysitter on our platform. Add your own babysitter if you would still like to book via Charly Cares. Your own babysitter cannot be booked by other families, because they are not screened.

What about taxes and Charly Cares?

Angels are not officially in our employment, so they do not have to deal with 'loonheffingskorting' or a statement of employment.

Falls under the 'dienstverlening aan huis' regulation, so not VAT is paid.

Do I qualify for receiving a childcare allowance when using your service?

No, unfortunately not.

The Angels

What types of Babysitting Angels do you offer?

At Charly Cares, you can find several different types of Babysitting Angels. Some Babysitting Angels are available to support a family on a fixed basis, whereas other Babysitting Angels prefer to babysit only occasionally. There is always a babysitter who fits your babysitting needs, whether you are looking for a fixed, after-school, flexible, or last minute babysitter.

We do not have any au pairs or nannies on file. We do have fixed Babysitting Angels who are available to babysit at fixed times every week. Need a babysitter for multiple days every week? In that case, we advise that you book multiple Angels.

What is the babysitter's hourly rate?

Angels are able to choose their own hourly rate based on their age and experience. The hourly rate varies between €6 and €15.

What is the policy regarding the Angel's travel expenses?

Charly Cares has no set policy regarding travel expenses. Parents and Angels can discuss this privately.

Are all Angels screened and what does the screening entail?

Before an Angel is admitted to our platform, they undergo a personal screening. We also check 2 references. During the screening, we discuss the babysitter's motivation, experience, and personality at length. By being selective, we ensure a safe environment for both the family as well as the babysitter.

How can I be matched with Babysitting Angels based on language preferences?

It is of course convenient if the Angel speaks the same language as your kids! That is why we match your family with Angels who speak the languages that you ticked in your profile. Did you check off three languages? Then you will only be matched with Angels who speak the same three languages. Of course, you can also choose to tick only the one language that really is a must for you.

How can you be certain that the Babysitting Angel is reliable?

Reliability is paramount at Charly Cares. Before our Babysitting Angels start working for us, they undergo an extensive screening by one of our recruiters on an online video call. We also check 2 references for each Angel. During the interview, we discuss the babysitter's motivation, experience, and personality at length. By being selective, we ensure a safe environment for both the family as well as the babysitter.

Can I book a Babysitting Angel for after-school care?

Absolutely. The Charly Cares after-school babysitter can pick the children up from school (potentially by car, if one is available). Once home, the babysitter can help the children with their homework, play games with them, and take them to their music lessons or sports practice. An after-school babysitter can also help by taking care of light household chores, such as cooking. You can discuss your wishes in advance with the babysitter. You can book this type of babysitter on a weekly basis, for a maximum of 12 consecutive weeks. If both sides agree, you can of course extend the booking after the initial period has ended.

Can I book a Babysitting Angel for pre-school care?

You can book an Angel for any time of the day, even to arrange pre-school care. Discuss what you expect the Angel to do in the morning. The Angel can make sure the kids are ready for school, prepare breakfast, and take them to school. Everything to ensure that you can comfortably leave the house on time.

I want to add my own babysitter. How can I do so?

At Charly Cares, you can add your own babysitter to the platform. This is often done when an employer has agreed to pay and you want to use your own babysitter, or if you want to make use of our booking system and have the payments run through our app.

How?

In the app, go to 'Profile' > 'Invite own babysitter' and proceed with step 1 and step 2.

I am unable to add my own babysitter, what should I do?

The babysitter needs to be at least 16 years old in order to be able to babysit via Charly Cares. If your own babysitter is not yet 16, the registration process cannot be completed. To circumvent this issue, your babysitter should enter a date of birth that ensures the minimum age of 16 years is reached. This doesn't affect anything else on the platform, since the babysitter can only be booked by you. In case she wants access to the rest of the Charly Cares platform, she will be invited to our screening. Note: in this case, the babysitter has to be at least 16 years old.

What are my responsibilities as a parent or Angel during the coronacrisis?

Check our dedicated page for our general guidelines regarding the coronavirus. Of course, we are keeping a close eye on the official messages from the RIVM and the GGD. We ask all our parents and Angels to carefully read our guidelines, the guidelines from the RIVM and the GGD, and the official messages from the government prior to entering into a babysitting agreement, and to carefully discuss the implications and potential limitations. In this context, Charly Cares bears no responsibility regarding the decision of a parent or Angel to enter into a babysitting agreement with one another. Any resulting consequences, such as a violation of government measures or infecting another person with the COVID-19 virus, are in that case at the expense and risk of the parent or the Angel. Users of our platform, companies, and authorities can contact us for specific questions or requests.

Can I support my employees with a babysitter at home?

Yes, you can! You can purchase babysitting credit on a monthly or weekly basis. Your employees can then use the credit to book a reliable babysitter. You can also choose to set a budget for each employee. Using this personal budget, your employees can book a babysitter up to the predetermined limit.

Booking a babysitter is simple and can be done in minutes in our Babysitting App.

How do I purchase babysitting credit for my employees?

You can purchase credit monthly or weekly. After your purchase, you will receive a weekly overview of all completed and scheduled babysitting services.

Do my employees need a Charly Cares membership?

Before your employees can book a Babysitting Angel, they need a membership. They can choose between 3 different memberships: basic, flexible, and premium. Based on their babysitting needs, they pick the membership that fits them the best.

My employees already have a Charly Cares membership, can they continue using their current account?

Your employees will be able to activate their business account from their private one.

Step 1: Activate business account

In the menu, go to 'Profile' and open your business account.

Step 2: Register the business email address

Enter your business email address (eg. @charlycares.com), agree to the terms and conditions, and click 'Activate business account'.

Step 3: Verify email with activation code

You will receive a 4 digit code in your business email. Enter the code in your business account for confirmation. From then on, you will be able to book and pay for both private as well as business babysitting services. Choose per babysitting service whether you or your employer pays.

How do employees pay the babysitter for business use?

During the babysitting service, a babysitting timer will run in the app. The timer starts automatically at the scheduled start time of the booking and needs to be manually stopped by the parent at the end of the babysitting service.

Will the babysitting credit for my employees be considered wages?

If there is room under the WKR (work-related costs scheme) and if the conditions for using the WKR are met, then you can designate it as ‘eindheffingsloon’. As a result, you will be able to reimburse your employees tax-free and the babysitting credit will potentially not be considered wages. If there is no room under the WKR, then the babysitting credit could be considered (extra) wages and the usual wage costs will have to be paid. We advise that you check with your financial department, or with an external administrator or tax specialist.

Can my employees continue booking a babysitter via Charly Cares even after I stop the arrangement?

Yes, they can continue booking a babysitter. The costs will then be charged to the employee, and will be deducted from the bank account connected to the employee’s account.

Is Charly Cares Business available everywhere in the Netherlands?

Yes! As an employer, you can support every employee with a company babysitter. Charly Cares is active in 57 places across the Netherlands. Employees who do not live in any of those places can easily add their current babysitter to our platform.

Can my employees also book their own babysitter?

Via our app, your employees will be able to invite their own babysitter to our platform. Even if we are not active in the employee's place of residence, this way, they can still make use of our service

Step 2: Send invitation to your babysitter

Copy the link and share it with the babysitter via text message, WhatsApp, or email. The babysitter can then register in the app via the link. Once the registration process is completed, the babysitter will be automatically connected to your profile, and you will immediately be able to book and pay them.

The Babysitting App

Oh no, the app crashes and/or gives an error message!

First, refresh the app:

  1. Press the home button twice and swipe the app away
  2. Restart the app

Why am I not receiving any emails or push notifications?

You can turn on the push notifications in the settings of your phone.

iOS/iPhone:

  1. Go to your settings on your phone.
  2. Go to notifications.
  3. Search for the Charly Cares App.
  4. Turn on notifications.

Android:

  1. Go to your settings on your phone.
  2. Go to apps.
  3. Search for the Charly Cares App.
  4. Go to notifications and switch the button on.
  5. Not working for you? Empty your cache and delete the Charly Cares App. Download the app again.

Membership

What memberships do you offer and which one fits my needs the best?

We offer 3 different types of memberships, depending on your babysitting needs. You can find a useful overview, including the associated costs, on the following page.

Good to know: a Charly Cares membership does not run per calendar month, but per 30 days.

Why do I need a membership in order to create a booking?

Every parents needs a membership in order to create a booking. For new parents, the first month is free, so that you can first try Charly Cares. It is not possible to book without a membership. After the first free month, your membership is automatically converted to a paid, flexible membership.

Can I try Charly Cares out first?

Want to know whether or not Charly Cares fits you and your family? You can try us out for free for one month, during which you will not pay the subscription fee, only the booking fee for each booking. After the first free month, your membership is automatically converted to a paid, flexible membership.

Can I change memberships whenever I want?

Sure! You can always change your membership to a different one. Go to profile and change your subscription under membership. Note: when you choose a different membership, it will take effect immediately!

When does my free trial month start?

Your free trial month automatically starts after you have linked your bank account. You need to link your bank account in order to be able to pay the babysitter. A trial month lasts 30 days, after which it will be automatically converted to the paid, flexible membership. You will also receive this information via email.

How do I cancel my membership?

We hate to see you go! Go to 'Profile' > 'Membership' > 'Cancel Membership'. Your membership will be cancelled straight away.

I cancelled my membership, but I'm still receiving emails. Why is that?

Even though your membership has been cancelled, we still aim to keep you informed regarding developments within Charly Cares. At the bottom of the emails, you will be able to unsubscribe from the email list.

Charly Cares Business

My employer is paying. Why do I still need a membership?

At Charly Cares, every parent needs a membership in order to be able to book. The first month of the flexible membership is free; after the initial month, the monthly costs are always charged to the parent. Contact your employer to check if they offer an internal arrangement for the membership. Both the babysitter and the booking fee are paid using the credit from your employer.

If you do not want to continue paying after the trial month, you can always cancel your membership. If you do not cancel your membership in time, the costs of the flexible membership will be charged automatically.

The benefits of a Charly Cares membership:

  • A Customer Care Team is always available to help with questions and potential problems.
  • The Babysitting Angels are personally screened, including a reference check.
  • From booking to paying the babysitter, everything is arranged in the app.

Why is the cancellation fee not deducted from my credit?

Your employer only pays for the babysitting services that you use in order to be able to work productively. If you cancel a booking less than 24 hours in advance, we charge a €3,50 administration fee. If you cancel a booking less than 3 hours in advance, we charge a €3,50 administration fee as well as 1 hour for the babysitter. The babysitter counted on the service and no longer has the opportunity to find another babysitting service.

Bookings - booking request

How do I book a Babysitting Angel?

Easy peasy! In our app, go to 'Discover' > 'Book an Angel'. Enter the dates and times for which you need a babysitter. You will then be able to either select 5 Angels yourself, or post your request on Jobboard.

Selecting 5 Angels yourself? Write a personal message and send the request, then wait for the Angels to respond. If one of them accepts, your request is successful.

If you choose Jobboard, write a personal message and post your requst to Jobboard. All Angels near you will be able to see your request and respond. In the end, you decide who ends up babysitting.

How do I book a Babysitting Angel for one or multiple fixed days every week?

What will I be able to change once the booking has already been sent?

You can always change the times and description of the booking after it has already been sent. It is not possible to change the selected Angels.

  1. Go to 'Bookings'
  2. Select the booking
  3. Click on 'Show all information'
  4. Edit the booking
  5. There, you'll be able to change the description and times

Can you help me with my booking/finding a babysitter?

You are in charge of creating your own booking, we cannot help with that. You will automatically be kept up to date regarding the status of your booking by means of notifications and emails. If, for example, an Angel has accepted the booking or made an offer through Jobboard, you will be notified of that.

If you do have trouble finding a babysitter, we can help you by adding more Angels to your booking. Once your booking has been pending for over 24 hours, we will send you a WhatsApp message to ask whether we can help by adding more Angels.

What can I do when the Angels don't respond?

Angels can be a bit nervous about visiting a babysitting address for the first time. Based on your profile, they decide whether or not they want to babysit. You should therefore view your profile as a family business card and make sure it's fully up to date, including a fun photo and an informative bio. That way, Angels know what to expect and your booking will be accepted much more quickly.

Do you already have a complete profile but no responses from Angels yet? Contact our Customer Care Team. They will be able to help you by adding extra Angels and also by giving you advice about what would potentially work best in your specific situation.

If a booking is due to start soon, it may also help to change the start time to a later time, so that the Angels have more time to respond.

Can you connect me to a specific babysitter?

If you want to invite your own babysitter for Charly Cares, go to 'Profile' > 'Invite own babysitter'. Follow the steps o link the babysitter to your account.

Is the babysitter already on our platform, but are you unable to find them? Go to 'Profile' > 'Invite own babysitter' and follow the second step: send personal code. By sharing your personal code with the babysitter, your profiles will be linked and you will be able to book that specific Babysitting Angel.

I want to meet the Angel beforehand. How do I arrange that?

Sure! Create a booking for the time you actually need a babysitter. After an Angel has accepted the booking, you can agree to meet through the chat or you can call the Angel directly. If you would prefer to meet in person, you can create a short, two-hour booking to get to know each other.

I am looking for a babysitter who owns a car, could you have a look for us?

Many of our babysitters do not own a car. Unfortunately, we cannot look for a babysitter with a car for you, you will have to do so yourself. When making a booking, mention in the description that you are looking for a babysitter with a car. Also make sure to ask in the chat in our app.

Please note: the car icon indicates that the Babysitting Angel is in possession of a driver's license. It does not mean the Angel has a car.

I accidentally declined an Angel I intended to accept. Is it possible to change that?

Contact our Customer Care Team via WhatsApp (+31202102323) or phone (020 - 210 23 23). We would love to help!

If you've booked the Angel in question before, simply create a new booking with the Angel via the chat. Don't forget to cancel the current booking.

An Angel (accidentally) cancelled, but does want to babysit. Is it possible to change that?

Contact our Customer Care Team via WhatsApp (+31202102323) or phone (020 - 210 23 23). We would love to help!

If you've booked the Angel in question before, simply create a new booking with the Angel via the chat. Don't forget to cancel the current booking.

Why did my booking expire and what are the next steps I should take?

Your booking expires because we want to give Angels a deadline, so that you'll have an answer more quickly.

If your booking was not successful, we advise that you make a new booking. Be sure to add different Angels and to also post your request to Jobboard so that the chances of your booking succeeding increase. We will also contact you via WhatsApp to advise you about the booking.

My booking has been declined, what now?

If your booking has been declined, you can simply create a new booking and select different Angels. Be sure to also post your request to Jobboard. You can always contact our Customer Care Team too. They can help you by adding extra Angels to a new booking and give advice regarding your specific booking.

I am looking for a fixed babysitter for multiple days a week, can you help me?

If you are looking for a babysitter for multiple days a week, we advise that you book multiple Angels. Create multiple bookings, select your favourite Angels, and post the bookings to Jobboard to increase the chances of your booking succeeding!

I am trying to create a booking, but it keeps getting stuck on 'almost sent'. What is happening?

Before you can make a booking, you need to have an active membership and link a payment method. After you have done so, you will be able to complete the booking.

  1. In the screen with 'Almost sent', click next.
  2. Select the type of membership that best suits you.
  3. Select a payment method, which we then ask you to verify through a payment of €0,02.
  4. Your membership has been confirmed and the booking will be sent.

How does a counter offer work with a fixed booking?

When you invite an Angel for a fixed booking, they can either accept or decline the booking. If they accept de booking, they commit to all dates listed in the booking. Sometimes an Angel would really love to babysit, but is unavailable on some of the dates. In the booking, they can then tick the days they can and would like to babysit. The Babysitting angel can thus make a counter offer, which you can then accept or decline. This way, you will be ensured a couple of fixed babysitting services with the same babysitter. Once the counter offer has been accepted, you will be able to chat with the Angel.

Can the booking service last longer or shorter than planned, for example if I'm home earlier or later?

Yes! After you have stopped the timer, you will see a screen with an overview of the babysitting service. Simply change the times by clicking on them, as well as potentially adding a tip. In the same screen, you will need to rate and review the Angel. After doing so, click on the button at the bottom of the screen to confirm your changes. When changing the times, make sure they are as accurate as possible. Want to come home later than planned? No problem, but make sure to discuss this with the Babysitting Angel.

Booking - cancel

How do I cancel my booking?

Very simple:

  1. Go to 'Bookings'
  2. Select the booking
  3. Click 'show all information'
  4. Cancel the booking

The costs for cancelling a booking are:

  • Up until 24 hours in advance, no extra costs are charged.
  • Less than 24 hours in advance, you pay €3,50.
  • Less than 3 hours in advance, you pay €3,50 + 1 hour for the Angel.

Are there any cancellation fees if I cancel a booking?

Cancelling a booking is free of charge up until 24 hours in advance. If you cancel a booking between 24 to 3 hours in advance, we charge a €3,50 cancellation fee. If you cancel a booking less than 3 hours in advance, we charge a €3,50 cancellation fee as well as 1 hour for the babysitter.

Booking - costs

Are there any booking costs?

Depending on the type of membership you've chosen, there may be a booking fee. You can find an overview of all costs on the following page.

By charging this booking fee, we are able to ensure that the Angel is insured for material damage during the babysitting service. In many cases, a regular liability insurance does not cover damage sustained during a babysitting service. The fee also ensures we can offer online payments as well as a Customer Care Team that is there to support you 24/7.

Can I request an invoice for completed bookings?

You can download a PDF for each babysitting service under 'Profile' > 'Payments'. To do so, click 'Create pdf' and select the payments for which you would like to receive an invoice. Click 'Send' and the invoice shall be sent to you via email.

What are the costs of a babysitting service?

The costs of a babysitting service depends on the hourly rate of the Babysitting Angel. The Angel sets their own hourly rate, which on average varies between €6 and €15 per hour.

Depending on your subscription, you are also charged a booking fee for each babysitting service:

  • Basic: €7,50 per booking
  • Flexible: €3 per booking
  • Premium: no booking fee

How do I pay the Angel?

The payment is processed automatically through the app. When the Babysitting Angel arrives at your home, a timer will automatically start running. When coming home, simply stop the timer, check if the times are correct, and the payment will be initiated. The payment will be automatically deducted from your bank account within a couple of weeks. No more hassle with cash!

How do I pay the Angel if my employer is paying for the booking?

Once the babysitting service has ended, simply stop the timer in the app. You will then be able to choose who pays for the babysitting service. If your employer has agreed to pay, choose the option: Your employer. The details of the babysitting service will then be shared with the employer. Does it concern a private babysitting service? Choose: I am. In that case, the payment will be deducted from your own bank account.

Booking - timer

How do I stop the timer?

Only parents are able to stop the timer in the app. During the babysitting service, a timer should be immediately visible when opening the app. If that isn't the case, you can find the timer under 'Chat' in the app.

Angels are not able to stop the timer.

I forgot to stop the timer. What should I do?

Did you discover that the timer is still running shortly after the babysitting service has ended? No problem; simply open the app, stop the timer, and edit the times.

If the timer has continued to run long after the babysitting service was supposed to end, our Customer Care Team will contact you in order to stop the timer.

I've already stopped the timer, but want to change the times. Am I still able to do so?

Contact our Customer Care Team via WhatsApp (+31202102323) or phone (020 - 210 23 23). We would love to help!

My babysitter cancelled at the last minute, but the timer is already running. What should I do?

No problem. Stop the timer and then choose 'Cancel booking'. The booking will then be cancelled.

Jobboard

How exactly does Jobboard work?

You can think of Jobboard as the old-fashioned noticeboard at the super market, on which you can stick a note if you are looking for a babysitter. Jobboard works exactly the same and functions as a type of noticeboard for Babysitting Angels, on which they can see requests from parents.

There are 2 ways of creating a booking request. Jobboard can be employed for both ways.

Option 1

  • Select the date and time for which you need a babysitter.
  • Select the Angels you would like to book.
  • Tick Jobboard and send the request.
  • The Angels you selected can respond to your request. Additionally, Angels can also respond via Jobboard. Only Angels who meet your requirements will be able to see the request on Jobboard.
  • You will receive all offers and accept the offer from your favourite Angel.

Option 2

  • Select the date and time for which you need a babysitter.
  • Post the request directly to Jobboard (note: you will not have the option of selecting your favourite Angels).
  • Angels who meet your requirements can respond to your request via Jobboard.
  • You will receive all offers and accept the offer from your favourite Angel.

You can always decline an offer. Your booking request will not be removed from Jobboard if you do so. You have 12 hours to respond to an Angel's offer.

Good to know: only Angels who meet your requirements can respond to your request via Jobboard.

What happens to the Angel's Jobboard offer once I accept or decline it?

Accept: your booking has succeeded, the Angel will babysit.

Decline: your booking will remain on Jobboard, you can receive new offers from other Angels. You can receive a maximum of 3 offers from Angels at a time, so it's important to decline Angels too. If you don't, you won't receive any offers from new Angels.

Did you accidentally accept an offer that you intended to decline? Cancel the booking and create a new one.

I was too late to accept an offer via Jobboard. Can I still invite the Angel?

You have 12 hours to respond to an Angel's offer. After those 12 hours have passed, you can contact our Customer Care team via WhatsApp (+31202102323) or phone (020 - 210 23 23). We would love to help!

The Angels I selected have declined my request, will it remain visible on Jobboard?

If the Angels you selected declined your request, your request will remain visible on Jobboard. You can also choose to add new Angels to your booking.

Discount codes & Babysitter Gift Card

How do I get babysitting credit for inviting a friend for Charly Cares?

Go to 'Profile' > 'Gifts & giftcodes'. Under 'Earn babysitting credit', you will be able to invite families and be rewarded by us for doing so. Win-Win! If they sign up via your link and create a first booking, you will both receive babysitting credit. The babysitting credit is automatically added to your account.

How long is my discount code/gift code valid for?

The expiration date is different for each giftcode. If a giftcode is associated with a promotional campaign, the expiration date of the offer is mentioned in the accompanying email. If the giftcode is connected to a Babysitter Gift Card, the giftcode expires 3 years after it was issued. All giftcodes can only be used once.

What are the terms and conditions of the Babysitter Gift Card?

The Babysitter Gift Card is only valid in the Netherlands for purchasing babysitting credit. The babysitting credit can be spent through the Charly Cares Babysitting App or www.charlycares.com for the (partial) payment of a Babysitting Angel, until the card’s credit has been used up and/or until 3 years after the date of issue of the card. The issue date is the date that the Babysitter Gift Card has been sent via email or via post.

After the expiration date, the Babysitter Gift Card can no longer be extended or used. Any unused balance cannot be claimed. The balance of the Babysitter Gift Card will not be paid out and cannot be exchanged for money. The Gift Card is a bearer payment method.

Only the holder is in custody of the Babysitter Gift Card. The Babysitter Gift Card will not be replaced in the event of theft, loss, or damage. When purchasing/using the Babysitter Gift Card, you fully agree to the terms and conditions which were made known to the customer with the purchase of the Gift Card and that can also be viewed on www.charlycares.com.

Does the balance of the Babysitter Gift Card have to be spent in one go?

Parents can use the Babysitter Gift Card multiple times. The total balance of the gift card does not have to be spent in one go. If there is any credit left after a booking, it will automatically remain on the Gift Card.

Can I have the Babysitter Gift Card sent to someone?

You can have the Gift Card sent to someone directly by post, so that your gift is directly delivered to the correct recipient. Do make sure to enter a delivery address that's different from the billing address during the order process.

When will I receive the Babysitter Gift Card once I've purchased it?

After ordering a digital Babysitter Gift Card, you’ll receive it immediately in your inbox. Have you chosen the physical Babysitter Gift Card? In that case, you’ll receive it at home within four days.

What is the minimum order value of a Babysitter Gift Card?

The minimum orde value of a Babysitter Gift card is €10,-. The maximum amount that can be put on the giftcard is €500,-.

I received a discount code/giftcode, what now?

Simple: add it under 'Profile' > 'Gifts & giftcodes'.

Why did my discount code/giftcode disappear from my account?

Once the discount code has expired, it will be removed from your profile. The discount codes are valid for different durations. Discount codes that are associated with a specific promotion are valid for the runtime of that promotion. You can find the expiration date under the terms and conditions listed in the email. Discount codes from a Babysitter Gift Card are valid for 3 years after being issued.

Privacy & data

If I leave a rating or review, does it remain anonymous or will the Angel be able to see my name?

Angel insurance

What is the Angel insurance?

Safety is of the utmost importance in our community. That is why a Charly Cares Babysitting Angel has an Angel liability insurance, which means the Angel is extra insured for damage, both material and personal injury, sustained during the babysitting service. Damage sustained during a babysitting service is often not covered by a regular liability insurance (WA insurance). That is why the Angel liability insurance is a valuable addition both for parents as well as Angels. The Angel has no deductible, because the deductible is paid for by Charly Cares. What should I do if the Angel is liable for damage sustained during a babysitting service?

In that case, the Babysitting Angel should contact the Charly Cares Customer Care Team. They will then send the Angel an email with which they can gain access to the digital claim form from insurer "Alicia Insurance". After the Angel has completed and sent the form, the insurer will contact the Angel as soon as possible. The further settlement of damages is fully handled by insurer "Alicia Insurance".

What does the Angel liability insurance cost?

The costs of the Angel insurance will be charged to the parent. On behalf of our insurer "Alicia Insurance", we charge €0,095 per hour for each babysitting service.
