Over 80 companies make use of a Charly Cares Business Babysitter. So they support their working parents with a babysitter at home for those moments it really matters. And that is invaluable for the lives of many families. We talked to a number of parents who book a Business Babysitter. Meet: Sybe, Zara and Femke.
Mom Maericke: looking for a recurring babysitter
What do you do when you urgently need a recurring babysitter? Maericke lives with her partner Pim and 3 kids in De Bilt. Olivia (6 years old) goes to school and afterwards to BSO, but for her twins Emma & Valentijn (3,5 years old) she urgently needed a babysitter for 2 days a week. How did Maericke manage this?
This is how we select our Babysitting Angels
During the daily ins and outs of family life, a babysitter is a must have. This offers you some time and space for (work-related) activities such as sports, a hairdresser's appointment, lunch or a date night with your partner. We totally understand booking a babysitter can be quite a big step. The care of your most precious possession is being put in the hands of someone else. We are happy to take you through the process of selecting new Babysitting Angels, where reliability and transparency are number one.
How do you determine your hourly rate?
How do you determine your hourly rate? At Charly Cares you determine your own hourly rate. But keep looking critically at this, keep day and evening rates apart and base your rate on age and experience. In the app you can also see the average hourly rate for your age in your area. That does not mean that your hourly rate should be the same as that of a peer if you have different experience.
Fall activities for you and the kids!
Fall season (and the holiday) has started! That means: enjoying the beautiful colors of fall and getting cozy. It's a good season for spending some time inside, but there's a lot to do outside as well. We have some tips for a cozy & creative fall!
New app update: your preferences!
At Charly Cares, you work when you want to. Our new update contributes to that promise: there is a new way to indicate your availability. You can now do so based on preferred days, so that parents will have an even clearer view of when you are available and we will be able to provide a better match.
Angel Romee: "I love being able to help children"
“Hello! My name is Romee, I am 17 years old and I am currently enrolled in the Specialized Pedagogical Employee training program in Hilversum. I previously did Nursing, but I found myself leaning more towards working with children. I am very happy with this switch and my babysitting job fits well with it!”
A business babysitter as a necessary fringe benefit
Where companies used to position themselves as good employers by offering extras such as a gym subscription and a thirteenth month, some of the largest employers in our country are now forced to take a different approach: a business babysitter as fringe benefit.
Angel Rosalie: “I love it when the kids come to me for advice”
Hi everyone! My name is Rosalie, I am 24 years old, and I moved to Amsterdam 5 years ago. I am currently working on my thesis for my Master International Relations at Leiden University. In my spare time, I like to salsa dance, read, go out with friends, and I like to travel. I've lived in France and Portugal, for example, where I learned the language and discovered the culture in combination with a program for my studies.
