Booking a babysitter for the first time?

Is this your first time using our Babysitting App and are you feeling a bit nervous? We would then advise you to build the contact with the Babysitting Angel step by step.

1. Create a short booking of at least 2 hours to get acquainted and fully instruct the babysitter.

2. Book well ahead for your first booking so you have enough time for the meeting and briefing.

3. Get in touch through the chat function or possibly through the phone number listed in the Angel Profile.

Looking for a flexible babysitter? Great when you have finally found someone. But what about the trustworthiness of the Charly Cares’ Babysitting Angels? Not every babysitter becomes an Angel. A babysitter could, for example, lack sufficient experience as a babysitter, or not have any references. Trustworthiness is of paramount importance at Charly Cares. Each babysitter must meet our requirements, which is why we always first conduct a selection procedure. Sounds quite serious, but through the personal interview we are able to determine the babysitter’s suitability.

We also find out if the babysitter is a flexible babysitter. We always expect our Angels to be as flexible as possible, so the chances of finding a babysitter are much bigger and you don’t have to rush, if you happen to be running late one time.

After each babysitting service, you will have the opportunity to rate the Babysitting Angel through a star rating. So we can preserve the trustworthiness and transparency. If you want, you can also provide a written review! The ratings and reviews are transparant for all parents. In case of a negative rating or review, we will contact both parties.

Frequently asked questions

I want to meet the Angel beforehand. How do I arrange that?

Sure! Create a booking for the time you actually need a babysitter. After an Angel has accepted the booking, you can agree to meet through the chat or you can call the Angel directly. If you would prefer to meet in person, you can create a short, two-hour booking to get to know each other.

Can the booking service last longer or shorter than planned, for example if I'm home earlier or later?

Yes! After you have stopped the timer, you will see a screen with an overview of the babysitting service. Simply change the times by clicking on them, as well as potentially adding a tip. In the same screen, you will need to rate and review the Angel. After doing so, click on the button at the bottom of the screen to confirm your changes. When changing the times, make sure they are as accurate as possible. Want to come home later than planned? No problem, but make sure to discuss this with the Babysitting Angel.
